"On the 25th of February 2009, the first large-scale class A Megalogix Novosibirsk logistics park will be opened in Novosibirsk" is said in the Megalogix official press release. Its overall area is 121,000 sq. m intended for the work of logistics operators and warehousing and processing of the goods of retail networks and manufacturers. Upon commissioning of the logopark, Kirovskiy District of Novosibirsk will obtain more than 1600 new jobs, which is especially urgent in the city amid the global financial crisis, since it would invigorate the business activities and welfare of this district. The logopark covers 19 ha along Petukhova Street. The logopark’s overall area is 121,000 sq. m, of which 101,000 sq. m are occupied by storage facilities, 9,000 sq. m by mezzanine area for packing and bin storage, and 7,000 sq. m by offices for tenants’ use. To date, letters of intent and lease agreements have been signed with several companies, including Avalon Logistics (27,000 sq. m), and it is expected that the logopark will be completely leased between the end of the first quarter and the middle of the second quarter 2009.
