Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Viktor Tolokonsky clarified Technopark's future

Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Viktor Tolokonsky finally added some clarity to the future of the already notorious mega-project – techno-park. Last week he announced that the regional budget would allocate 500 million rubles for the project development. It was also stated that houses for young scientists would be constructed on the site neighboring the techno-park, but not inside it, as the local branch of the Academy of Sciences demanded. Innovation companies will also get opportunity to place their offices and facilities inside the park’s premises. Mr. Tolokonsky also reached an important agreement with the general director of the Russian Television and Radio Network Aleksey Malinin, who is in charge of the country’s transition to digital format of broadcasting. Mr. Malinin promised to place governmental orders for necessary equipment with the regional enterprises and organize training of the personnel in the territory of the region.
