Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has arrived in Novosibirsk for a working visit, where he opened the section of the Northern Highway, which by-passes Novosibirsk. At present the federal highway goes across the city, which hampers the traffic of transit vehicles and worsens the ecological situation in Novosibirsk. Almost 5km-long section of the highway with two bridges, whose total length is one km, was opened this Wednesday. It is the last section and already in nearest Saturday Northen Highway will be fully opened from end to end, connecting M-51 and M-53 intercity highways.

Aleksandr Abalakov, leader of the dissolved United Deputies Group in the Novosibirsk Regional Council stated last week that together with Vladimir Karpov, deputy chairman of the Council, he plans to revive Non-Party Deputies Block. The block will be formed on the basis of the communist fraction, rest of United Deputies Group and dissatisfied Agrarians.

Management of aviation insurance OSAO «Ingosstrah» and branch OSAO "Ingosstrah" in Novosibirsk wins competition on responsibility insurance before the third parties of International airport Tolmachevo (OVB, Novosibirsk). The limit of insurance is 1 mlrd 150 million RUB. Under treaty provisions, the insurance covering provides responsibility of all services of the airport. «We are grateful to all our partners rendering trust to International airport Tolmachevo, - the General director of Airport Tolmachevo Alexey Chertenkov has noted. – Occurrence of new partners not only us is entirely welcomed, but also testifies to their positive estimation of development of our airport and a stable rating of trust to an aviation enterprise».

That's not the only news from Tolmachevo - new 3-star hotel with a total capacity of 250 persons was opened near International Airport Tolmachevo (OVB). Sky Port Hotel in Novosibirsk is going to pay attention to transit passengers.

Also, two Russian Holdings (LEK and Moscow-based SKM Group) said their plans to develop group of resedential complexes in Novosibirsk.

But on the other hand, global financial crisis continues to affect Novosibirsk's property market. One of the biggest Novosibirsk's developing company «StroyMaster» sells it's 3 000 sq m near Studencheskaya subway station, that was originally prepared for the hotel. Many stand-alone clothing stores (some Levi's, Jennyfer, Mexx shops and several multibrand shops) were closed this week.
