The climate in Novosibirsk is of continental type, but it’s tougher in character than its American and European counterparts from the same latitude. During the summer, the temperature of water in the Ob Sea varies within the range of quite convenient for swimming temperatures of 19 to 25 C. Other water basins, including the river Ob and mountainous rivers, are 1-2 degrees cooler.
